Nécrose osseuse aseptique

De nombreuses études récentes montrent que l'oxygénothérapie hyperbare (HBOT) peut être utilisée avec succès pour traiter la nécrose aseptique de la tête fémorale, surtout aux stades précoces, en évitant des procédures complexes comme le remplacement de l'articulation de la hanche. Elle stimule la croissance de nouveaux vaisseaux sanguins, capables d'apporter l'oxygène et les nutriments nécessaires à la régénération du tissu osseux. Elle peut également aider à réduire la douleur et à prévenir l'infection.

L'HBOT est de plus en plus recommandée par les médecins orthopédistes pour stopper la progression de la nécrose osseuse avasculaire et prévenir l'installation de la coxarthrose (arthrose de la hanche).
