CLINICAL PRESENTATION:

Symptoms: Left hand dorsal pain over the lunate area, no edema.

Treatment History:

Current medication: Euthyrox 100, Sevikar, NSAIDs as needed.
Previous treatments: NSAIDs.

Investigations:

Results: Hand MRI.
Diagnosis: Avascular osteonecrosis of the left lunate, hypertension, hypothyroidism.

Treatment Plan:

Recommended medication: None prescribed.
Therapeutic interventions: 20 hyperbaric oxygen therapy sessions.

EVOLUTION AND PROGNOSIS:

Evolution: After completing 20 hyperbaric therapy sessions, the patient shows an improvement of approximately 80%, with complete disappearance of pain in the left hand. No functional limitations are observed, and the patient has resumed her normal activities without discomfort.
Prognosis: Favorable. Long-term maintenance of results is expected. No additional sessions are necessary at this time; maintenance therapy is recommended only if needed, along with periodic monitoring.
