Medical History

Anamnesis: The patient reports that for 2 months he has had knee pain and recently continuous pain. After administration of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, the pain did not cease. Pain of 6-7/10 with functional impairment.
Family history: Unknown.

CLINICAL PRESENTATION:

Symptoms: Knee pain.
Duration: 2 months.
Aggravating factors: None.
Ameliorating factors: None.

Treatment History:

Current medications: Aspenter, Plavix, Prestarium, Concor, Sortis, Controloc.
Previous treatments: None.

Investigations:

Results: Knee MRI.
Diagnosis: Aseptic necrosis of left internal femoral condyle. Post NSTEMI myocardial infarction. Arterial hypertension. Hypercholesterolemia.

Treatment Plan:

Recommended medication: None prescribed.
Therapeutic interventions: 20 sessions of hyperbaric therapy.

EVOLUTION AND PROGNOSIS:

Evolution: The patient returns for control after 20 sessions and reports a decrease in pain to 1/10 from 6-7/10 and slight discomfort with some movements. Radiologically, disappearance of edema by 80% and significant clinical improvement.

FINAL OBSERVATIONS:

Orthopedic control and reevaluation as needed are recommended. For consolidation, another course of hyperbaric therapy is recommended.
