Arsuri, opăriri, degerături
Numeroase studii medicale sugerează că terapia cu oxigen hiperbaric poate ajuta la tratarea eficientă a arsurilor (termice, chimice şi de iradiere), opăririlor sau a degerăturilor. Oxigenoterapia poate ajuta în tratamentul arsurilor prin furnizarea de oxigen suplimentar la nivelul țesuturilor afectate.
Oxigenul suplimentar poate accelera procesul de vindecare, îmbunătățind fluxul sanguin către zonele afectate și stimulând formarea de noi vase sanguine. Aceasta poate ajuta la reducerea inflamatiei și la prevenirea infecției.
De asemenea, HBOT poate ajuta la reducerea durerii asociate cu arsurile și poate contribui la reducerea formării de cicatrici.
