Performanță sportivă

Terapia hiperbarică este o metodă consacrată pentru creșterea performanțelor sportive. Prin îmbunătățirea respirației mitocondriale și creșterea populației mitocondriale, se obțin creșteri ale volumului maximal de oxigen consumat (VO2 max), forței musculare și pragului anaerob (VO2AT).

Un nou studiu atestă efectele pozitive ale terapiei hiperbarice asupra perfomanțelor sportive ale atleților de vârstă mijlocie.

De asemenea, sportivi cunoscuți ca și Michael Phelps, Cristiano Ronaldo, LeBron James și mulți alți atleți folosesc de ani de zile tratamentul hiperbaric pentru recuperare și creșterea performanței sportive.
