Patienten nach einem Schlaganfall

Mehrere neuere Studien bestätigen die positive Wirkung der hyperbaren Therapie bei Hirnverletzungen. Bei Patienten nach einem Schlaganfall zeigt sich die neurologische Verbesserung sowohl auf kognitiver als auch auf motorischer Ebene. Die hyperbare Therapie ist auch in fortgeschrittenen chronischen Stadien wirksam.

Die Gültigkeit der durch die hyperbare Therapie ausgelösten Reparaturmechanismen impliziert auch die Möglichkeit einer Reaktivierung der Neuroplastizität lange nach Beginn der Hirnschädigung. Auf diese Weise kann die Übereinstimmung zwischen der zerebralen Anatomie und der entsprechenden Physiologie wiederhergestellt werden.
