Égési sérülések, forrázások, fagyási sérülések
Számos orvosi tanulmányban utalnak arra, hogy a hiperbár oxigénterápia segíthet az égési sérülések (hő, vegyi anyagok vagy sugárzás által okozott), a forrázások vagy a fagyási sérülések hatékony kezelésében. Az oxigénterápia segíthet az égési sérülések kezelésében, nagyobb mennyiségű oxigén biztosítása révén az érintett szövetek számára.
A plusz oxigén felgyorsíthatja a gyógyulási folyamatot, javítva a véráramlást az érintett zónák felé, és serkentve az új véredények képződését. Segíthet a gyulladás csökkentésében és a fertőzés megelőzésében.
A HBOT segíthet továbbá az égési sérülésekkel járó fájdalom csökkentésében, és hozzájárulhat a sebhely-képződés csökkentéséhez.
